How to Turn on iPadOS Stage Manager
Tip of the Week!
If you use your iPad a lot, and you find yourself needing to use more than one application at a time, you’re in luck. Apple’s iPadOS Stage Manager makes multi-tasking easier than ever. It may cost you a small strip of screen real estate on the left side of your screen, but if you need to swap back and forth between a few different apps, the feature can really be worth it.
Once configured, open apps appear stacked on the left edge of your screen. Tapping on the one you need causes the window to float over to the right side of your display, and opens in a larger window. You can change and customize the window size and bring up additional apps in the same view. The feature also works with external monitors, assuming your iPad Pro supports the use of one.
To use Stage Manager, follow these steps:
- Swipe down on the top-right corner of your iPad Pro to access Control Center.
- Tap the Stage Manager button (it looks like a rectangle with three smaller rectangles next to it). Alternatively, you can turn on Stage Manager by tapping Settings-Multitasking & Gestures, and then turning on Stage Manager.
