Take Command of your Windows PC with God Mode

Tip of the Week

Win11 God Mode

Many people find tweaking their computer to be a decent pastime, whether they intended it or not. Having the ability to customize every aspect of your computer is something nearly everyone wants—and occasionally needs. When customization and tweaking are needed, having the right tools available is important. With the right set of tools, you can take command of your Windows PC with god mode.

With Windows 11 god mode, you can modify nearly all aspects of your Windows PC. And it will be easy at that point.  All you’ll need to do is find what you want to do in the long list of options and click it.

To get access to Windows 11 god mode, follow these steps:

  1. On the Windows desktop, right-click your mouse and choose New – Folder

    WGM - Step 1

    Windows 11 God Mode Step 1 – Create a new Folder

  2. Enter the following folder name, and then press the Enter key:
    GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
    WGM - Step 2

    Windows God Mode Step 2 – Name the folder

  3. The folder name will disappear, and a Control Panel icon will appear without any name or label.  You also canNOT add any name to the folder after it is created. Don’t bother trying. Even altering the folder’s Properties sheet won’t add any label or name.
  4. To use the folder, double-click on it.  A folder with every single Control Panel option will open.  You will have access to items you wouldn’t have available without special credentials.

    WGM - Step 4

    Windows 11 God Mode – Steps 3 & 4: Double Click the folder

Windows 11 god mode gets you access to nearly every Windows 11 feature and option in your version of Windows.  And that’s where an important caveat comes in – What you have access to will depend on your version of Windows.  This same method (and folder name) will work on Windows 10 as well as Windows 11.  You will find not only different options between Windows 10 and Windows 11 but different options between the different editions of Windows in each major version (Win10 or Win11) – Windows Home, Windows Professional, Windows Enterprise, and Windows Educational.

The big plus here is that you’ll have all the options in a single place, and you won’t have to go hunting for the option(s) you may want or need.
