With Apple recently changing the Lightning port on the iPhone 15 series to the standardized USB-C, we’re all left in dongle hell as we struggle not to repurchase all our old cables just to take advantage of the new USB-C port on the new iPhones. And until cables wear out and we replace them, we all need a few of these in our desk drawer. The price is right on these handy Lightning-to-USB-C adapters, and it seems like I use them every day.

Reusable Plant Covers/Frost Protection Bags

Priced at $13.59 (for a pack of 3). Winter is just around the corner, and if you have any plants or shrubs you’ve just planted this fall, you really should cover them to protect your investment. I’ve been using these for many years and they really do a great job of protecting your plants from the perils of an early frost or freeze. There are several versions of this type of product out there, but buyer beware, as they’re not all created equally. I’ve tried a few and found these to be the best.

For only $29.99, this is absolutely one of the nicest and most useful things I’ve purchased lately. At 9.84 x 9.84 x 6.89 inches, it’s just the right size to complement your desk with a beautifully crafted set of four drawers, just right for keeping handy all those things you often can’t find when you need them. I use mine for thumb drives, adapters, dongles, cables, power-charging bricks, etc. This is a great gift for anyone who uses a desk.

LED Light Blocking Stickers

On Amazon for only $7.99. Whoever invented these absolutely had me in mind! As a techno nerd, our house is filled with way too many lights, and while they don’t bother me during the day, at night it looks like a miniature version of the runways at JFK airport. These film stickers come in multiple sizes and apply easily to any LED light that is too bright at night. I use these on my Apple TVs, microwave, dishwasher, and many other appliances.
